A seminar titled "A New Perspective about China" was held in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The seminar was organized in collaboration with China Media Group's platform FM-98 and the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan.
Addressing the seminar, Director Political and Press Section of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan Wang Shengjie said that economic zone in Gwadar has been completed, while a state of the art international airport, hospital and metro centre are in the last phase of completion.
He said Gwadar has been connected with the National Highway through the Expressway under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. He added that China has completed eleven electricity projects in Pakistan.
Wang Shengjie further said that one thousand programmes have been initiated for the capacity building of various sectors of Pakistan.
Former Ambassador Ali Sarwar Naqvi commended Chinese cooperation for the development of Pakistan. He said China, under CPEC, invested in Pakistan at a time when no country of the world was ready to invest in Pakistan.
Defence Analyst Air Vice Marshal retired Ijaz Mahmood Malik said China helped Pakistan in building aeronautical complex, where J-17 Thunder fighter jets are being manufactured.
International Affairs' Expert Reema Shaukat appreciated China for supporting Pakistan's stance on international fora, especially matters relating to Afghanistan and India.
Economist Dr Noor Fatima said China has become a world leader in promoting market economy.
Dr Mahmood-ul-Hassan of Centre of South Asia and International Studies said China's Belt and Road Initiative is providing environment friendly atmosphere of cooperation among various regions and countries of the world.
Director News and Current Affairs of Radio Pakistan Aman Ullah Sipra, Chief Executive Officer of the Gulf Observer Riaz Ahmed Malik, people from different walks of life and students also attended the seminar.
