2.1 Million Houses Under Construction for Sindh Flood Affectees Says Minister Sharjeel.

Karachi: Sindh Minister for Information and Transport Sharjeel Memon has announced that 2.1 million houses are currently being constructed in the province to support those affected by recent floods. Speaking to the media in Karachi, Memon revealed the scale of the construction efforts aimed at providing relief to flood victims and helping them rebuild their lives. According to Radio Pakistan, Memon also highlighted several initiatives undertaken by the provincial government to enhance public infrastructure and services. Notably, various Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects have been launched in Karachi to address the growing transportation demands of the city's residents. These projects aim to improve urban mobility and provide efficient transit solutions to the public. Furthermore, Memon shared information about a new program designed to equip the youth with necessary IT skills. Under this initiative, 10,000 young individuals are receiving training at NED University Karachi and IBA Sukkur. This program is part of the government's efforts to boost employment opportunities and foster a skilled workforce in the region.
