‘2024 Korea Week’ underway in Islamabad

The "2024 Korea Week" under the aegis of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Pakistan and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, is underway in Islamabad in a befitting manner. Running until the 29th of this month, the event aims to enhance cultural exchange and strengthen bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Korea. In this connection, Korea-Pakistan Cultural Gala was held at Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad. Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar was the chief guest. Chairman Prime Minister Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Secretary Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Ambreen Jan and Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Park Ki Jun were also present on the occasion. The Cultural Gala was attended by a large number of families, Korean nationals, diplomats and staff of the Korean Embassy as well as students belonging to different educational institutions and universities of the federal capital Islamabad. Korean and Pakistani Taekwondo teams demonstrated th eir acrobats, while renowned Pakistani musical groups and singers enthralled the audiences with their outstanding performances. In his welcome address, the Korean Ambassador Park Ki Jun expressed the resolve to further strengthen Pakistan and Republic of Korea ties in culture, art, literature and music.
