The Department of Biological Sciences and Clinical Trial Unit, National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), Rawalpindi, Pakistan in collaboration with Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) and industrial partners, organized a 3-Day Hands-on Training Workshop on HPLC Method Development and Validation on 22 to 24 August, 2022. The workshop was sponsored by NEOTECH International and KAMSTAC International and NUMS.
HPLC is one of the key analytical instrument which is extensively used in industry, academia and research intensive organization due to its efficiency to separate, identify and quantify a range of bioanalytes. Every routine or new chemical analysis by HPLC requires a method to be developed and then validated in order to meet the quality assurance and regulatory requirements of drugs and bio products. This workshop was designed for early and mid-career candidates on how to design and validate an HPLC analysis method, analyze the data, and troubleshoot any problems that arise during analysis.
Many candidates from all over Pakistan desired to participate, but only 25 were selected to attend the workshop based on their academic and professional relevance to the workshop. The candidates who attended the workshop were from Army Medical College (AMC), Rawalpindi, National Institute of Health (NIH), Islamabad, Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC), Islamabad, Drug Regulatory Authority (DRA) of Pakistan, Islamabad, Pharmaceutical Industries; and MS and PhD candidates from different universities of Pakistan.
