The 44th death anniversary of fiction and detective writer, novelist and urdu poet Asrar Ahmed known as Ibn-e-Safi was observed on Friday. Ibne Safi was born on July 26, 1928, in the village of Nara in Allahabad District of Uttar Pardesh in British India. His family migrated to Karachi where he started his own publication with the name 'Israr'. His main works were the 125-book series Jasoosi Dunya and the 120-book Imran Series, with a small canon of satirical works and poetry. Ibne Safi died on this day in 1980 in Karachi.
