Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has stressed the need for collective efforts to put country on a consistent path of progress and development.
Addressing a conference titled "Leaders in Islamabad Business Summit-2023," he said incumbent government is working hard to fully revive the CPEC.
The Minister said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, a key component of China’s Belt and Road Initiative is a game-changer project for Pakistan besides entire region of South Asia.
He said around 29 billion dollars had been invested in the CPEC-related project in a period of three years.
He underscored the need to extend all possible support to business companies earning dollars and contributing to build the country’s foreign exchange reserves.
The Minister said the government is working to overcome issues of water and food security by switching over to smart agriculture system.
Ahsan Iqbal regretted that economic policies and projects faced considerable dent during tenure of PTI government, which caused serious damage to national economy and development.
