Islamabad: Dr. Talat Shabir, an expert in international relations, has emphasized the significant potential for Pakistan and the European Union to enhance bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors. He noted that recent regional conflicts have affected international relations, yet the economic ties between Pakistan and the EU remain crucial. According to Radio Pakistan, the tensions that arose in May with India, followed by ongoing conflicts with Afghanistan, have reshaped regional dynamics. Dr. Shabir suggested that these changes have provided Pakistan with opportunities to strengthen relations with the EU, the US, and other global partners. He pointed out that Pakistan has gained leverage in enhancing exports to the EU and attracting foreign investments in areas such as mining and minerals.
