Illegally detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Masarrat Alam Butt, has said that India with its intransigent attitude has been impeding the way for just resolution of the internationally-recognized Kashmir dispute for the last over seven decades.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Masarrat Alam Butt in his message from New Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail said the people of Kashmir have the right to seek a resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per their wishes and aspirations.
He said, permanent peace will continue to elude South Asia till just settlement of this lingering dispute. The APHC Chairman said that Indian fascist Prime Minister Narendra Modi must remember that India’s policy of repression in IIOJK is bound to fail.
He added that the United Nations must take practical measures to implement its resolutions on Kashmir to save the Kashmiris from the Indian atrocities.
Meanwhile, political activist, Nazir Yatoo, has started an indefinite hunger strike in Srinagar against the ongoing eviction drive launched by the authorities in the territory.
On other hand, the occupation authorities kept senior APHC leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, under continued house arrest, today, and disallowed him to offer Juma prayers at Jamia Masjid, Srinagar. Mirwaiz has been under house detention since August 05, 2019.
