Aurangzeb Invites Turkish Firms for Joint Ventures with Pakistani Enterprises.

Islamabad: Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb has invited Turkish firms to engage in mutually beneficial joint ventures with Pakistani enterprises, specifically in the sectors of Information Technology and agriculture. He extended this invitation during a meeting with the Ambassador of Turkiye to Pakistan, Irfan Neziroglu, who visited him in Islamabad on Monday. According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized the potential for Pakistan to gain insights from Turkiye's experience in power sector reforms. He also extended a warm welcome to Irfan Neziroglu on his diplomatic assignment in Pakistan. Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb underscored the historical and fraternal connections between the two countries and highlighted the significant potential for boosting the current volume of bilateral trade. The Minister also referenced his recent meeting with Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek in Washington, which took place on the sidelines of the World Bank Group and IMF Annual meetings. The disc ussions focused on various aspects of the longstanding and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, with particular attention to the expanding cooperation in trade, investment, and defense. During the meeting, Turkish Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu expressed his admiration for the economic reforms and the subsequent macroeconomic stability achieved by Pakistan. He pledged his full commitment and support towards further strengthening the relations between both nations.
