Baku: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the people of Pakistan on Pakistan Day. In a letter to Prime Minister Sharif, he expressed his determination to further expand the strategic partnership and mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that successful joint efforts in areas such as the economy, transport, logistics, energy, investment, and the defense industry are crucial for strengthening bilateral relations. He noted that the relationship between the two nations is rooted in comprehensive development, built upon mutual cultural values and solidarity, and grounded in respect and trust.

Expressing satisfaction with the traditional friendship and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, President Aliyev stated that these ties will further enhance brotherly relations and foster people-to-people connections. He also extended his prayers for the health and success of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and for peace, prosperity, and progress for the people of Pakistan.
