Cake-cutting ceremony held at NCAC, Islamabad to mark Independence Day

A cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate Pakistan's 76th Independence Anniversary was held at the News and Current Affairs Channel in Islamabad today [Monday].

Director General Radio Pakistan Muhammad Tahir Hassan flanked by Director News and Current Affairs Amanullah Sipra and the staff of news and current affairs cut the cake to mark Independence Day.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director General said this day also marks the establishment of Radio Pakistan, the voice making announcement of creation of the country.

He said Radio Pakistan has evolved over time to keep up with the changing tones of time and is being digitized.

He said a new 1000 kilowatt digital transmitter is in the process of being installed which will enhance the reach and quality of its broadcast to over 52 countries of the world.

The Director News while congratulating the listeners on Independence Day, said Radio Pakistan has an active and dynamic social media presence to cater to the demands of time.

He said Radio Pakistan will continue to be the most credible and efficient source of information.
