CDWP recommends three projects worth Rs126bln to NEC

Central Development Working Party has recommended three projects of 126 billion rupees to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council for approval. The recommendation were given in a meeting chaired by Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan in Islamabad today. The first project is the improvement, up gradation and widening of Jaglot - Skardu Road worth 33270.600 million rupees, referred to ECNEC for further consideration. Secondly, the project of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of N-5 from Moro to Ranipur worth 57,245.400 million rupees referred to ECNEC for further consideration. The project shall be financed through Special Financing in the Form of Flood Emergency Loan from Asian Development Bank amounting to 150 million dollars. Lastly, health related project was also presented in the meeting namely "Prime Minister's Programme for Elimination of Hepatitis C Infection" worth. 35,411.950 million rupees referred to ECNEC for further consideration. This project inten ds to screen hundred percent of the population in two phases. In the first phase, districts with a high prevalence of Hepatitis C will be included, whereas the remaining fifty percent will be covered in the next phase.
