Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has directed the concerned authorities to pay special attention to improving the security situation in the province.
He was chairing a high-level meeting to review the overall provincial security situation in Peshawar on Tuesday.
The meeting was briefed about steps taken by police and the administration and future strategy to maintain peace and security in the province.
It was also briefed about tackling possible impacts of the rapidly changing situation in the neighboring country Afghanistan on the province and professional preparedness of police and law enforcement agencies.
Mahmood Khan termed the sad incident of killing of nine people during a Jirga as an unbearable act.
