Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that the Bank of Punjab should become the first choice for depositors. She made this statement during her visit to the head office of the Bank of Punjab in Lahore. The Chief Minister instructed bank authorities to implement effective cost-control measures. On this occasion, Maryam Nawaz reviewed progress on several initiatives, including the Green Tractor Scheme, Bike Program, Himat Card, and the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Program. A report on the distribution of interest-free bikes was also presented to the Chief Minister, highlighting that students can now apply for bikes digitally from home and pay installments online. Maryam Nawaz was informed that, so far, 1,591 bikes have been delivered under the CM's Interest-Free Bike initiative.
