Collective efforts needed to eradicate terrorism: KP Assembly

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly was informed today that collective efforts are needed to eradicate the menace of terrorism in the province. Speaking in assembly's session in Peshawar today, KPK Minister for Housing Dr. Amjad Ali strongly condemned terrorist attack on a police mobile van in Swat and law enforcing agencies in the province. He said tourism sector has also been badly affected due to the surge in terrorism in Swat. Arbab Muhammad Usman Khan of ANP said Southern districts of the province have rich reserves of minerals, oil and gas. He said government should adopt comprehensive steps for utilizing these resources for public welfare. MPA Ali Hadi expressed his concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in his constituency in Kurram district. Earlier, the House offered Fatiha for the departed souls of the mother of KP Minister Nazir Abbasi and a police constable who was martyred in yesterday Swat blast. Source: Radio Pakistan
