Colours of state media’s electronic banners, websites’ logos changed to mourn UAE President’s demise: Marriyum

On the special directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the colours of logos and electronic banners of all websites of the state media have been changed to mourn the demise of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for three days.

This was announced by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb in a news statement in Islamabad.

She said during this period, all electronic banners and websites’ logos of Radio Pakistan, Pakistan Television, Associated Press of Pakistan and Press Information Department would display in the colour of mourning.

The Information Minister said the initiative has been taken to express solidarity with the government and people of the United Arab Emirates.

Marriyum Aurangzeb also urged the private media to change their TV channels’ electronic banners and websites logos’ signs colour in solidarity with the people of Pakistan’s friendly country.

She extended gratitude to all private channels which have already changed their electronic banners and logos signs’ colour to express solidarity with the UAE.
