In a major milestone to boost regional trade, a convoy of NLC trucks has reached Tajik capital Dushanbe after covering a distance of more than fourteen hundred kilometer. A consignment of potatoes was exported through the NLC trucks, completing the journey from Okara and Rahim Yar Khan to Dushanbe in just seven days. A special ceremony was held at Dushanbe Customs Terminal on the arrival of the inaugural convoy under International Road Transport. Addressing the ceremony, Tajik Transport Minister Azim Ibrohim appreciated the official launch of ground transportation by Pakistan's leading logistics organization. He said this initiative marks an important milestone in bilateral trade relations between the two countries. He assured unwavering support to further facilitate smooth movement of Pakistani trucks to Tajikistan. In his remarks on the occasion, Director General NLC Farrukh Shehzad Rao said trade under the TIR system will facilitate timely and efficient imports and exports of both countries.
