COVID-19: KP Govt decides to keep markets closed for two days in a week

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to keep the markets closed for two days in a week across the province in wake of rise of coronavirus cases.

The decision was taken in a meeting of provincial anti-corona task force chaired by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in Peshawar on Friday.

The task force expressed its concerns over rapidly rising Covid cases and negligence of implementation of SOPs in some districts.

It was therefore decided to ensure strict implementation of the SOPs and precautionary measures in the province.

The meeting also decided to take assistance from Pak Army in this regard.

The meeting also paid special consideration on blocking of mobile phone SIMs of people who would not get vaccinated by 15th of next month.
