The 49th death anniversary of the world-renowned painter Abdul Rahman Chughtai was observed on Wednesday. He is also called 'Musawwir-e-Mashriq'. Abdul Rahman Chughtai is known for his unique and distinctive painting style influenced by Mughal Art, Miniature Painting, and Islamic Art Traditions. Abdul Rahman Chughtai not only designed one of the first four postage stamps of Pakistan, but also designed the monograms of Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television, which are still living monuments of his art.
