The 46th death anniversary of eminent educator, writer, critic and poet of Urdu, Punjabi and Persian Sufi Ghulam Mustafa Tabassum was observed on Wednesday. He played a pivotal role in promoting Urdu, Punjabi, and Persian literature through his prolific writings and critical insights. Ghulam Mustafa Tabassum also remained associated with the Iranian Cultural Institute of Lahore and Radio Pakistan. He wrote many poems for children. During the war of 1965, the songs written by Sufi Ghulam Mustafa Tabassum gained enormous popularity and played an unforgettable role in the defense of Pakistan.
