A delegation of Pakistani Senators led by Chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Senator Irfan Siddiqui visited Uzbek Senate Secretariat in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Saturday. The delegation is visiting the country on the invitation of the Election Commission of Uzbekistan as International Elections Observers. During the visit, the delegation engaged in diplomatic discussions aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. The Uzbek senate expressed admiration for Pakistan's democratic system and highlighted the robust strategic ties between the two countries. Both sides showed keen interest in further enhancing the Pak-Uzbek relations and discussed potential for future cooperation, including parliamentary friendship group exchanges. Senator Irfan Siddiqui reaffirmed Pakistan's continued support for key infrastructure projects such as the trans-Afghan railway initiatives and Gwadar port programs.
