Lahore: Moneeza Hashmi, Trustee of the Faiz Foundation and daughter of renowned poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming turnout at the Faiz Festival. In an interview with Radio Pakistan's correspondent Qasim Bukhari, she shared that the festival's primary aim is to spread Faiz Ahmad Faiz's ideas and philosophies among the public.

According to Radio Pakistan, Moneeza Hashmi highlighted a special session at the event, titled 'Arz-e-Palestine Ka Ilm and Palestine, and the Poetry of Faiz,' dedicated to raising awareness about the Palestinian cause. The festival aims to not only promote Faiz's literary contributions but also to engage the public in significant global issues through his work.

The festival also features sessions focusing on Urdu literature and tributes to distinguished figures from the past, alongside the launch of several new books. These sessions are designed to offer a comprehensive experience of Faiz's impact on literature and society, ensuring that his legacy continues to inspire future generations.
