Islamabad: A meeting on the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Policy 2025 was held in Islamabad today with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in the chair. The meeting was briefed about challenges and opportunities for smooth adoption of the New Energy Vehicle policy in line with national priorities.
According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, policy matters ranging from vehicle production to improving manufacturing processes and other related issues were discussed at length. Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stressed the importance of the timely development and implementation of the NEV Policy 2025-30.
He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to achieve policy targets and align them with Pakistan's environmental and economic priorities. The discussions highlighted the significance of the NEV Policy in promoting sustainable transportation solutions and supporting the country's commitment to reducing carbon emissions and fostering economic growth.
