Minister for Finance Shamshad Akhar has said the government is taking stringent measures to revive economy.

Talking to the media in Karachi this afternoon [Saturday], she said the economic situation of the country is improving rapidly due to prudent economic policies.

She said development of industrial and agriculture sectors is a key priority of the government.

Finance Minister said actions were also being taken by the government against smugglers.

The Minister said all economic indicators are showing positive trajectory, which is a matter of satisfaction for the government. She said special attention is being paid to increase per acre yield as agriculture sector has potential to increase growth rate.

Shamshad Akhtar assured that problems of the business and trade community will be resolved on priority basis.
