Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the government has initiated work for setting up of new mother and child care hospitals in the province to provide quality treatment facilities to masses.

In a statement, he said that mother and child care hospitals are being set up in Lahore, Multan, Mianwali, Rajanpur, Layyah, Attock, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sialkot.

The Chief Minister said that Nishtar Hospital-Two in Multan, Sheikh Zayed Hospital-Two in Rahim Yar Khan and Cardiology Institute in Dera Ghazi Khan are also being set up.

He said that emergency wards of the hospitals in Rahim Yar Khan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur are being upgraded, whereas new state-of-the-art district headquarters hospitals are being set up in Chiniot, Hafizabad and Chakwal.
