A Grand Jirga was organized in Zhob, Balochistan to discuss overall security situation of the area and Pak-Afghan border management. Zhob and Shirani tribal chiefs, civil and military officers and local people attended the jirga. Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan (North) Major General Chaudhry Ameer Ajmal was present as special participant. The tribal elders appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Army and FC Balochistan for successful operations against terrorists. Addressing the jirga, IG FC Balochistan said safety of life and property of citizens is our first priority. He said we value the support of local tribes in recent operations of the security forces against the terrorists. On the occasion, the tribal elders re-vowed their full support to Pak Army and FC in operations against terrorists. The tribal leaders requested the civil administration to enhance the capacity of police and levies force so they can play their role for peace and stability. Source: Radio Pakistan
