Lahore: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has announced the existence of irrefutable evidence regarding the violent attacks that occurred on May 9. He revealed this information during a news conference held in Lahore on Saturday, pointing to what he described as an organized conspiracy orchestrated by a political party. According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister specifically accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party of orchestrating the attacks. He alleged that PTI office-bearers and workers received instructions to carry out the attacks, which targeted sensitive installations and desecrated memorials dedicated to martyrs. Additionally, he claimed that various shops and stores were looted by the attackers. The Minister highlighted that CCTV footage clearly shows PTI workers engaging in acts of arson and vandalism. He assured that the data from the CCTV footage is secure and impervious to any alteration or tampering. Furthermore, he underscored the urgent need for swift judicial proceedings in the May 9 cases. The Minister also accused PTI of writing letters to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in opposition to the interests of Pakistan.
