Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has expressed Pakistan's commitment to ensure justice and enhancing security for Chinese nationals working in the country. He was talking to Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong during his visit to the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad following an incident in Karachi where two Chinese nationals were injured by a security guard. According to Radio Pakistan, the Interior Minister stated that the government is taking all possible measures to protect Chinese citizens and assets linked to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He mentioned that additional security protocols are being implemented to create a safe and stable environment, especially in areas where Chinese nationals reside or work. During the meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, Interior Minister Naqvi expressed regret over the incident, underscoring the importance of diplomatic engagement and solidarity between Pakistan and China. The Interior Minister emphasized the significance of the bilateral re lationship and reiterated Pakistan's dedication to maintaining the safety of Chinese nationals. Speaking on the occasion, the Chinese Ambassador expressed China's appreciation for Pakistan's swift response to the Karachi incident and its commitment to securing Chinese interests in the region. The ambassador acknowledged the steps taken by Pakistan to enhance security measures and highlighted the strong ties between the two nations.
