Karachi: Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has announced the establishment of a fisheries and aquaculture research centre at the Korangi Fish Harbour Authority in Karachi.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister stated that the 10-acre fisheries and aquaculture research and training facility would help upgrade the underperforming fisheries sector. He emphasized that the long-term goal is to create a sustainable, export-oriented aquaculture hub of regional significance, which will contribute to economic growth through a blue economy.
