Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to release imported wheat stored in godowns across the province. The decision was made during a meeting in Peshawar, chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toru.
According to Radio Pakistan, Minister Zahir Shah Toru revealed that over seventy-seven thousand metric tons of imported wheat are currently stored in various godowns throughout the province. The government plans to release this wheat to operational flour mills at a price of two thousand four hundred rupees per forty kilograms.
Zahir Shah Toru also instructed the formation of a monitoring committee to ensure transparency in the distribution process.
