In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, 8th martyrdom anniversary popular youth leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani will be observed on Monday. In a statement in Srinagar, All Parties Hurriyat Conference has praised his courage and enduring inspiration for Kashmiri youth. The statement condemned ongoing repression by Indian authorities and asserted that sacrifices of Burhan Wani and other martyrs of freedom movement will not go in vain. The statement also urged Kashmiris and Pakistanis living abroad to organize protests to honor Wani and other martyrs, aiming to draw international attention to New Delhi's brutal actions in IIOJK. Meanwhile, IIOJK Congress chapter President Vikar Rasool Wani has criticized Modi government for policies detrimental to the people of the territory. In a statement, Vikar called for holding the saffron party accountable for its anti-people policies. National Conference leader Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi speaking to reporters in Srinagar vowed amnesty for Kashmiri prisoners and r estoration of IIOJK's constitutional status if elected in the assembly elections.
