Met Office Predicts Cold, Dry Weather Across Regions

Islamabad: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while very cold and partly cloudy conditions are anticipated in hilly areas during the next twelve hours. In several regions, including Northwestern Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree, and Galliyat, there is a likelihood of rain-windstorms accompanied by snow.

According to Radio Pakistan, moderate to dense fog in patches is expected to persist in most districts of Punjab, upper Sindh, and plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the morning and nighttime hours. This weather pattern is likely to affect visibility and may cause disruptions in daily activities in these regions.

The temperatures recorded in major cities this morning highlight the cold conditions, with Islamabad at five degrees centigrade, Lahore and Peshawar at eight, Karachi at sixteen, Quetta and Gilgit at one, Muzaffarabad at three, and Murree at two degrees centigrade.

For the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, the weather forecast indicates cloudy conditions with chances of rain and snow in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla, while Jammu is expected to experience partly cloudy weather with cold and foggy conditions. This morning, temperatures were recorded at minus two degrees centigrade in Srinagar, Pulwama, and Shopian, nine in Jammu, minus eight in Leh, and minus one in Anantnag and Baramulla.
