Islamabad: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) in Islamabad on Thursday. The agreement aims to create a structured framework for collaboration to tackle issues and complaints from overseas Pakistanis regarding property disputes, financial fraud, misuse of authority, and other matters that may necessitate NAB's intervention.
According to Radio Pakistan, the MoU outlines the establishment of a dedicated facilitation desk or cell for Overseas Pakistanis at all NAB offices, which will receive and process complaints forwarded by OPF or directly from overseas Pakistanis. Additionally, a helpline will be set up to maintain constant communication between NAB and OPF, ensuring that complaints from overseas Pakistanis are promptly addressed.
During the signing ceremony, Chairman NAB, Lieutenant General retired Nazir Ahmed, emphasized that the bureau is committed to ensuring that individuals who deceive or defraud overseas Pakistanis face suitable legal consequences.
