GWADAR: Minister for Defence and Aviation, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, has announced that the newly inaugurated New Gwadar International Airport will be pivotal for Pakistan's development. In his address at the inauguration ceremony in Gwadar, he highlighted the airport's significance in enhancing trade and tourism, as well as its potential to positively impact the national economy.

According to Radio Pakistan, Khawaja Muhammad Asif emphasized that the New Gwadar International Airport will generate employment opportunities for local residents. He expressed gratitude to the Chinese Government for their role in completing the airport, underscoring the collaboration between the two nations.

The Minister also noted that the development of the airport is a testament to Gwadar's progress and prosperity, largely due to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor initiative. The event was attended by dignitaries including the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and the Governor of Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, along with other high-ranking officers.
