NHMP Expands Safety Campaign for Motorway Travelers Amid Dense Fog

ISLAMABAD: The National Highways and Motorways Police (NHMP) has intensified its efforts to ensure the safety of travelers amid dense fog conditions affecting visibility on motorways. The campaign now includes video messages in various regional languages to effectively communicate safety measures to the public.

According to Radio Pakistan, a spokesperson for the NHMP emphasized the importance of following the safety advisory issued by the police. Travelers are urged to keep their vehicles' fog lights and double indicators on throughout their journey on highways and motorways where visibility is compromised due to fog. This measure is aimed at safeguarding public property and lives.

The spokesperson also advised commuters to use their vehicles' wiper blades continuously and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles to prevent collisions. The advisory underscores the necessity of adhering to these guidelines, particularly maintaining low speeds in conditions of fog, heavy mist, snow, and other situations where visibility is reduced. The NHMP stresses that these precautions are crucial for public safety and must be observed by all motorists.
