Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain says there is no shortage of urea in the country and fertilizer companies must ensure supply of fertilizers to provinces. Chairing a meeting of the fertilizer review committee in Islamabad today, he said the uninterrupted supply of gas will continue to fertilizer companies to ensure smooth production of urea. Rana Tanveer Hussain said the fertilizer companies should reassess the performance of dealers and agencies. He said provinces should verify fertilizer dealers and agencies. He said ghost dealers and agencies should be blacklisted. The Minister said the Government has decided to conduct third-party audits of fertilizer companies to determine the cost of production. The agenda of the meeting included reviewing the available stock of urea, its demand, and supply as well as prices. Source: Radio Pakistan
