Pakistan and the United States have agreed to work closely on various bilateral trade and investment matters in order to enhance economic cooperation between both sides.
The understanding was reached at a virtual meeting between Minister for Commerce, Industries and Production Dr. Gohar Ejaz, and the United States' Trade Representative, Katherine Tai.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the progress made after holding of the 9th Pakistan-United States Trade and Investment Framework Agreement Council meeting earlier this year.
The Commerce Minister informed the US side about the efforts undertaken by government to improve business climate in the country.
He suggested to consider duty-free access of textile and garments export to the United States and to explore joint ventures in textile and industrial manufacturing.
