Riyadh: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed a 'Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement' to enhance defense cooperation and strengthen joint deterrence against any aggression. This significant agreement was signed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Riyadh, marking a commitment to consider any aggression against either country as aggression against both.
According to Radio Pakistan, the agreement reflects the shared commitment of both nations to improve their security and achieve peace in the region and globally. It aims to further fortify the bilateral partnership that has spanned nearly eight decades, grounded in brotherhood, Islamic solidarity, and shared strategic interests.
During the signing, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed sincere gratitude to Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the warm welcome and hospitality. He extended his best wishes for the well-being of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman, along with the continued prosperity of Saudi Arabia.
