Pakistan's Ambassador to the US Masood Khan has said his country is focussing on enhancing product competitiveness to secure greater share in the international market. Talking to Executive Director DC Soccer Club Grey Andrulis in Washington DC, he expressed pride in the quality of Pakistani exports. He said our sports goods connect people. Our signature products are promoting human wellbeing, healthy minds and healthy societies. Ambassador Masood Khan highlighted that Pakistan is producing seventy percent of the world soccer balls. Executive Director DC Soccer Club Grey Andrulis was highly appreciative of the quality of Pakistan's soccer balls.In addition to just the quality of the ball, the branding that is put on it is identifiable. He said we get great prices and great quality balls, even delivery is always on time. Andrulis noted that even the four to five years used balls 'have scuffs and stuff, but they are still good balls because they are so strong. He said that we have returns on uniforms but no body ever brings back a Pak-made soccer balls. Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson, Board of Directors, DC Soccer Club Zainab Schwartz said that she is very proud that her country, Pakistan is represented in kids' life on a daily basis. DC Soccer Club is the largest soccer club tri-state DMV area comprising the capital city of Washington and the surrounding portions of Maryland and Virginia. Founded in 1977 as DC Stoddert Soccer, the club has a membership of over 7500 kids. The Club gets around 2500 made-in-Pakistan soccer balls on annual basis. Ambassador Masood Khan also welcomed suggestion made by Chairperson DC Soccer Club to hold Embassy Cup in 2025 as precursor to 2026 FIFA World Cup. Source: Radio Pakistan
