Pakistan Keen to Strengthen Bilateral Ties with Canada: Naqvi

Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed Pakistan's eagerness to enhance bilateral relations with Canada across multiple fields. This statement was made during his meeting with Taleeb Noormahmed, a member of the Canadian Parliament, and Mahmoud Eboo, the representative of the Aga Khan Development Network in Canada, held in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions focused on Pakistan-Canada relations and the resettlement of Afghan refugees in Canada. Mohsin Naqvi highlighted the significant projects undertaken by the Aga Khan Foundation aimed at socio-economic development in Pakistan. He emphasized the intention to broaden the scope of these projects through increased mutual cooperation.

Canadian Parliament Member Taleeb Noormahmed noted that the Canadian High Commission has bolstered its staff and resources to expedite the resettlement process, reflecting Canada's commitment to addressing the Afghan refugee situation.
