Pakistan Navy Provides Aid to Indian, Indonesian Crew Members in Arabian Sea

Karachi: Pakistan Navy's humanitarian rescue operation to assist the Indian and Indonesian crew members on a ship is underway in the Arabian Sea.

According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan Navy personnel are providing emergency assistance to six Indian and one Indonesian crew member on board the ship "MV Gautam". The Maritime Rescue and Coordination Center Mumbai contacted Pakistani authorities after a technical fault occurred on the MV Gautam, which was heading to India from Oman.

As soon as the emergency information was received, the Pakistan Navy dispatched the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency's ship "Kashmir" for rescue operations. The sources said that the Indian and Indonesian crew members on board the ship are being provided with food, medical aid and technical support.

The Pakistan Navy remains ready and determined to provide effective assistance in any emergency situation at sea.
