Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman has emphasized the need for countries in the Global North to realize their pledges to finance resilience and adaptation for countries that face the brunt of global warming.

Delivering a key note address at the Third Regional Seminar for the Parliamentarians of the Asia Pacific Region on Achieving SDGs, she pointed out that countries like Pakistan are paying the price for emissions by others.

Alluding to the devastation caused by floods, the Minister for Climate Change said building climate resilience is key for Pakistan. She said we need resources to build back with climate resilience.
