Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has announced that Pakistan will issue yuan-denominated panda bonds as early as June. This move aims to further integrate Pakistan's capital markets with those in China.
According to Radio Pakistan, Muhammad Aurangzeb, in an exclusive interview with the South China Morning Post, stated that Pakistan seeks to raise between 200 to 250 million dollars from Chinese investors. The finance minister highlighted the importance of diversifying the nation's funding base as a critical step forward.
Additionally, Muhammad Aurangzeb pledged to increase cooperation with Beijing in the next phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), underscoring the strategic partnership between the two nations.
