New York: Pakistan has firmly stated that Jammu and Kashmir, which it describes as "Indian illegally occupied," has never been and will never be considered an integral part of India. This declaration was made during a session at the United Nations. According to Radio Pakistan, the assertion was made by First Secretary Sarfraz Gohar, who exercised his right of reply in response to comments from an Indian delegate during a debate on self-determination in the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly. Gohar emphasized that India's unilateral statements cannot alter the historical, political, and legal facts surrounding the region. He further stated that India would not succeed in thwarting the eventual success of the Kashmiris' pursuit of freedom.
