Pakistan stands by Kashmiris for right to self-determination: Tarar

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has reiterated that Pakistan will continue supporting the struggle of innocent and unarmed Kashmiris against the Indian occupation. He was speaking at a joint news conference with Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Amir Muqam in Islamabad today. Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan has always extended its moral, political and diplomatic support to innocent Kashmiris and will continue doing so in future till they are given their birth right to decide their fate. He said India has been committing atrocities in the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said Kashmiris are facing illegal detentions and enforced disappearances. He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during his address to the UN General Assembly, had raised the voice for Kashmiris and demanded that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute should be resolved as per UN Security Council resolutions. The Minister for Information and Broadcasting said the government of Pakistan will continue supporting K ashmiris' freedom struggle against the illegal Indian occupation. He said India must rescind its illegal actions of 5th August 2019, restore the special status of Kashmir and give Kashmiris the right to self-determination. Amir Muqam said the people of Kashmir have been rendering unmatched sacrifices against the Indian oppression, but they are not ready to accept New Delhi's occupation. He said on the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, special ceremonies were organized in Islamabad and all the four provinces, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal, to highlight the level of oppression Kashmiris are facing at the hands of Indian occupation forces.
