Director General Hajj Abdul Wahab Soomro has urged Pakistani pilgrims to obtain sacrificial coupons only from authorized sources, such as the Islamic Development Bank and Saudi Post.
In an interview with Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Javed Iqbal, he appealed the pilgrims to avoid obtaining coupons from any unauthorized channels.
The Director General emphasized that obtaining authorized sacrificial coupons from authorized sources ensures the legitimacy and guarantees compliance with Saudi regulations for the sacrificial ritual.
The Pakistani government, in collaboration with the Saudi bank, has made arrangements for the sacrificial ritual for the Hajj pilgrims.
Pilgrims can acquire a token for the sacrificial offering by contributing 720 Saudi riyals.
Mobile vans are available to distribute coupons to pilgrims residing in various areas, ensuring convenience.
Saudi Post, in partnership with IDB, is the authorized provider of sacrificial coupons. Tokens will be provided near pilgrims' accommodations through booths or mobile vans.
Pilgrims will be informed of their designated time for the sacrificial ritual upon receiving the token.
After the sacrifice, pilgrims will perform the "Halq" ritual, involving hair shaving or trimming.
