Gilgit-baltistan: A team of Pakistani women mountaineers has made history by summiting the 5,400-meter Bari La peak in Gilgit-Baltistan. According to Radio Pakistan, the expedition was organized to mark the Golden Jubilee of the Alpine Club and featured women from all four provinces, as well as Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and Islamabad. Alpine Club Pakistan highlighted that this achievement signifies a step towards empowerment for women as they venture into challenging terrains.
