Karachi: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued an alert about rains and snowfall over the hills in upper parts of the province from today till Tuesday. The authority has taken this step to ensure preparedness and safety in response to the anticipated weather conditions.

According to Radio Pakistan, the authority has advised all relevant departments to remain vigilant and prepared to restore road links for traffic in the event of closures caused by landslides. This precautionary measure aims to minimize disruptions and ensure public safety during the adverse weather conditions.

The PDMA has also established a control room that is operational around the clock. Residents are encouraged to contact the control room by dialing 1700 in case of any emergencies, ensuring that assistance and information are readily available.
