Islamabad: Minister of Planning Ahsan Iqbal has emphasized strengthening Pakistan's export sector, identifying it as a linchpin for economic self-reliance and global competitiveness. Addressing the 5th RASTA-PIDE Conference in Islamabad, he said that the nation's research and innovation efforts must prioritize enhancing the value and diversity of exports, particularly through the development of industrial clusters in key sectors.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted the importance of focusing on research and innovation to improve the country's export capabilities. He pointed out that establishing industrial clusters could play a crucial role in diversifying the export portfolio and adding significant value to it. This approach, he noted, would help Pakistan achieve a more self-reliant economy and secure a better position in the global market.

Minister Iqbal underscored the need for strategic planning in identifying and developing key industrial sectors that have the potential to contribute substantially to the export sector. By doing so, Pakistan can not only enhance its economic standing but also create opportunities for growth in various industries.
