Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim left for home after completing his three-day official visit to Pakistan on Friday. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif saw off Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his delegation at the Nur Khan airbase. Shehbaz Sharif also presented an album comprising photographs of Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim's three-day visit to Pakistan. Regarding the visit of Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan and Malaysia have long-standing brotherly relations, spanning decades. He said there was a complete agreement with the Malaysian counterpart to further strengthen Pakistan-Malaysia relations. Shehbaz Sharif said Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim is an admirer of Allama Iqbal, which is a matter of pride for Pakistan. He thanked the Malaysian Prime Minister for his kind words and good wishes for the people and the government of Pakistan. The Pakistan Prime Minister said positive progress was made in promoting trade between the two countries at the Pakistan-Ma laysia Business Forum. Promoting trade with Malaysia will increase Pakistan's exports and create new job opportunities. Shehbaz Sharif said the visit of Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim marked the beginning of a new chapter in Pakistan-Malaysia relations. He said Memorandums of Understanding and agreements were signed to promote trade and investment between the two countries. The Prime Minister said export of processed meat and rice from Pakistan to Malaysia will be increased and its process will be simplified. He said there was also an agreement to enhance cooperation in information technology and the production and trade of electric vehicles between the two countries. During the visit, Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister's House in Islamabad, where he was given a grand reception.
